Thanks for the memories also. I was there at Rosenblatt Stadium the night Verne Gagne beat Dr X and the mask came off. In a brilliant promotional gimmick, Joe Dusek set it up so that that match was for the mask, but not the “World Wrestling Heavyweight Title.” That left the door open for a rematch later in the year at the Omaha Civi Auditorium for the title (and a guaranteed packed house).
